What Is Sat-Set Means in Indonesia?

Sat-Set was a phrase that comes from Javanese that in English means "quick" or "immediately". This term was used to express and command someone's activity that happened so fast. 

Examples

koe kudu sat-set! = You better be quick!

mas mu gawene sat-set = your brother's work was so fast!

This term went viral in social media at the beginning of 2021, when somehow many people connect the meaning with the romance/love relationship in a good way. Fiersa Besari, an Indonesian famous indie artist influencer, post a tweet on his Twitter account 

"Saling sayang kok dibikin ribet? Padahal tinggal sat-set" that means

"Loving each other but made it complicated?, its only need sat-set"

The term was used to the relationship between friends or girlfriend-boyfriend that love each other, should get a serious relationship (engaged/married) as soon as possible. This phenomenon caused various responses from netizens, some of them made a meme bout it such as;


Man: Hello!

Woman: Hi!

Man: Sat-Set!

Woman: Yes, I want to be your wife!
