What is Mikir Kids Slang Meaning In Indonesia

Mikir is a shorter word from the word 'berfikir', which means 'thinking' in English. So 'Mikir Kids' in slang means 'think!, kid' in english. These terms went viral among Indonesian Gen Z at the end of 2025. In English, it has a similar meaning to 'you'd better use your brain' in a less offensive-fun way.

When using this slang, usually followed by a gesture of pointing to the side of the head with the index finger like roll safe guy meme.

The context of this slang is to say it in a fun-satirical way. The saying of 'Kids' in this sentence doesn't mean it works from older people to the younger ones. It could also work among various ages. 

For example, when a friend doesn't know about common things, then you could say the terms in a satirical way, like:

'Tunggu, kamu tidak tau bagaimana ini bekerja? mikir kids!' //

'Wait, you don't know how these things work? Think about it, kids!'


'bagaimana kamu tidak tahu tentang aku? mikir kids!' //

'how you don't know about me? you better think kids!'


Or to talk something impossible in a fun way, such :

'bagaimana bisa aku bisa hidup tanpa mu, mikir kids!'

'how could i live without you, think kids!'


To say it with more fun, some said it with an anagram such as

Mikir kids -> misir dikks -> midiks sirr -> miriks kiss ETC.
