What Does "Pinjam Seratus" Means In Indonesia?

The word, "pinjam" in English could be translated as "Borrow/loan" and "seratus" is "one hundred". This term came from Indonesian behaviors when someone is having a financial crisis, they will ask others to borrow one hundred thousand rupiahs (6-7$). 

This term went viral in the middle of 2022 when there were so many issues about online money loans and Indonesian teenager behavior that getting used to quickly spending their money in the early month (after salary payday). After that, they will suffer underfunded at the end of the month so they will find a quick easy loan from someone. 

Many people used it as a joke/meme such as:

"Agar silaturahmi tak terputus, pinjam dulu seratus?"

"to prevent our relationship from fading away, can I borrow 100k?"

Meme template saying the word "pinjam seratus" as a horror word, cause usually when someone borrows 100k rupiahs, they rarely pay their loans.
